Long Haircut

On December 3rd, 2023, I got a haircut after almost 2 months without one. my hair grew a lot to the point it was as tall as half my face. For a long time, I tried styling my wavy hair but it was too stubborn, especially in the middle center area. The hair would grow in all directions making me look messy. Oftentimes, I would wear a cap at school because styling it was super difficult and almost impossible at times. Also, since my US Army Reserve drill was coming up in less than 2 months, I couldn't have long hair. So it made little sense to keep my hair growing. I wanted to shorten it but not too much so I asked the hair stylist to cut clipper No.8 everywhere with a 0.5 to 1 fade on the sides. After she was done, my hair looked short. It was shorter than I expected. I looked like a kid in middle school with that haircut. I wasn't a young adult anymore but back to middle school with the short haircut and babyface of mine. I didn't realize this until now that No.8 clippers cut my hair till it's 1 inch long which isn't a lot. For the rest of my life, I will have to stick with scissors for the top and clippers for the side because 1 inch long is the max. I want it at least 2 inches long so I can style it. I learned my lesson the hard way. Meanwhile, I am also mewing consistently to get a sharper jawline and reduce my baby face appearance.
