89. What did you do yesterday that you wish you hadn’t done today? (05/12/2023)
I ate a lot of junk foods yesterday. Me and my coworkers were watching the Super Mario Bros Movie and the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3. During the movies, I ate a whole pack of Haribo Cola Gummies (600 calories), a king size chocolate graham bar(300 calories), and a big bag of popcorn which was 1500 calories total. It was straight sugar and fats and less than 10g of protein. Even for a cheat meal/day, its extreme. I keep telling myself that after this, I won't eat cola gummies for two weeks and end up eating after 4 or 5 days.
At the current moment, I am bulking. It's a period of time lasting weeks to months where I eat excessive calories in protein in order to speed up muscle gains from weightlifting. When I am cutting calories, I have to rest longer between sets and I end up doing less reps per set. I still have two months of deployment left and the large majority of ladies are not interested because the male to female ratio is 1 to 4. Might as well get stronger and look temporarily fatter while I am away home before I start cutting. However, that doesn't mean I should just eat junk food. If I eat too many oily foods, my pimples start popping up and they leave facial scars that are hard to get rid of. Too much junk food at once also gives me headaches that can be slightly alleviated only by drinking water. To make it simple, I eat like usual with lots of calories and I fit in a snack or two to give me more energy. Maybe +300 to +600 calories is a good range. Once you go past +600 calories, it becomes a waste as you are not getting that many extra reps and you are getting fatter than you need to be.
Most likely, I will end up eating gummies again in this week or the next week. I will try to keep it in control.
