26 What’s the best thing that happened to you this weekend? (03/24/2023)

This past Sunday, I had three good things happened.
No.1 I went to the mall off base and got to do shopping of some snacks from all over the world in a Kuwaiti supermarket which is equivalent of Sam's club, Costco, or Aldi's. They had almost all groceries, electronics, clothing, fresh produce, cooked chickens and snacks, and meats of all kinds. I ended up buying some chocolates, and dried mangoes and dried kiwis.
No.2 I ended up asking a girl out despite my high anxiety.
No.3 which was also the best thing: I was in a 2 hour call with one of my close friends from Qatar. It was mainly her ranting and talking about how she is depressed due to the lost of trust among her coworkers. She cannot wait anymore to go back to the US and get this deployment over with. I was crying during the call because I felt her pain and the isolation she was in. I ended up telling her that I am really glad that I got to know and meet her in this one life I have and I told her, "FB, please don't kill yourself". There were other people too in my life before that I cared about and were in a bad mental state. I was worried about them but I never had the courage to say that I cared about them and didn't want them to get hurt or die. So I am glad that I finally got to speak my mind for once to somebody I care about.
