Intro

Hi, my name is Biraj and I thought you seemed pretty cute so I wanted to get to know you.

Me personally, I love getting to know people. I do not believe in the idea of boring people because I believe each person is interesting in their own way. I grew my passion for people originally due to my bad social skills. I grew up pretty normal like other kids with average confidence and a few school freinds. In 7th grade, I transferred schools. I got bullied a lot, did shit in class, and my parents hated me. Even though I immigrated to the US the next year, my social skills and confidence dropped to almost 0. I became the quiet kid essentially. The few friends I did make, I ended up being close with. Since I barely talked due to my high social anxiety, I became a good listener instead. As a result, people started talking to me more whether it was about their day, how they feel about their classmates, and what they want to do over summer break. Over time, they also started opening up more about deeper and more personal topics such as their childhood stories(some good, but mostly bad), new ideas they have in mind but they are too scared to talk about them with others in fear of embarassment, and dreams they have for the future. As a result, I was able to see the unique sides to each person I hung out with. That’s how I developed my passion about human beings.

Now, while I have good listening skills, my conversational skills aren’t as great. I still have difficulty opening up and trusting other people but I want to change that. I want to be able to be honest with others and have them be honest with me. I don’t want to live in a world full of strangers.
