10 When did you experience your biggest adrenaline rush? (03/08/2023)

My first thought would be the moments when I was the closest to my death. Maybe it was the time where I was on top of the apartment building and looking straight down with my head out and my hands gripping to the edge so I wouldn’t bend over too hard and fall to my death. Maybe it was those times when I was with my friends screaming at the top of our lungs as the roller coaster dove straight down and we felt the sensation of falling almost. It could have been the time when I was a kid playing computer games with my older brother when a jump-scare of a red face popped up.

Now that I think about it, my biggest adrenaline rush was when I was giving my speech for my AP english class. Everyone in the class had to write and give a speech. My speech was titled: “the wind rises”. The wind represented the hardships in life and despite the wind rising, we still try to live on. While I was giving the speech, I was the most nervous I have ever been in my life. Sweat was pouring down my head, my body was heating up a lot, my heart was beating faster than normal, and my right leg was shaking left and right with all the nervousness in my body. I was nervous, but I was also excited to be giving this speech that I have been working on for weeks.

When the speech was over, and the claps started, I let out a sigh of relief knowing I could relax back to my seat and not worry about the speech anymore. That was my first time giving a speech and I have given multiple speeches after that in other classes and different meetings but I will never forget the nervousness and excitedness I was filled with.
